<p>So, I wake up this morning in dread and panic because of the dream I had been having, involving said chat program.&nbsp; In my dream, the program had rolled out a new version, and the way the interface looks had changed, so everything was completely different.&nbsp; You could import your contacts to invite them to chat, and they had this "quick chat" feature that removed all text styling (why?&nbsp; I DON'T KNOW. )</p>
<p>Anyway, while I was sitting there trying to figure everything out, and not accidentally import contacts that I didn't need, one of my co-workers pinged me in chat.&nbsp; I had changed the chat view, though, so I couldn't read their message or reply.</p>
<p>OH THE HORRORS.&nbsp; In my dream I was FREAKING THE EFF OUT.</p>

What is my damage, man?&nbsp; Bryan was headed to the store so I had to run outside, flag him down, and make him fix me up before I puked.<br /><br />What would I do without him?&nbsp; Probably chop food with a spork, for starters.<br /><br />In other "how-much-does-my-husband-love-me-and-put-up-with-my-craziness" news, I sent Bryan to the store the other day to get material for my Halloween costume. I was woken up to hot, slimy liquid being spewed all over my body.&nbsp; The scary part was that Charlie was laying on her back, had thrown up, so she was choking on it.&nbsp; I had to turn her over and clear her airway, yikes.<br><br>Thank GOD she was sleeping with us last night.&nbsp; Seriously.<br><br>She was mostly upset because she'd never had a puke experience before, and it completely freaked her out.&nbsp; She had handfuls of the mess, and was mostly screaming I think, because she had no idea what this crap was that had just come out of her body.&nbsp; Well, her mouth.<br><br>I took her into the bath with me while Bryan cleaned up the bed, and she was a completely happy little chatty kid.&nbsp; She talked in great detail about "when she burped in the bed" so I explained that, child?&nbsp; That's called puke.&nbsp; Definitely not burping.<br><br>She seems to be fine now, she slept way late poor thing.&nbsp; I have no idea what caused it -- she doesn't have a fever, and no one else is sick, and she didn't puke after the two times in the bed, so maybe it's over.&nbsp; Unless it's only something she does when she's snuggled up in bed next to me, of course.<br><br>

With a fiery passion. &nbsp;A really, really,&nbsp;fiery passion. &nbsp;Like, the time&nbsp;I made her <a target="_blank" href="http://www.daphneblue.net/blog/2006/9/24/this-damn-kid.html">some pants</a> that she wouldn't wear, or when I made her a&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/daphne_blue/852145141/in/set-383783/">pillowcase</a> with her name on it, that made her head explode with anger. <br /><br />Clearly, she's over the hate, because she checked on me about every 5 minutes to see when her pjs would be finished, and almost wouldn't let me take them off to get a picture.&nbsp; I actually need a lot of work done, but I have to pay for it out of pocket, so we're doing bits at a time.&nbsp; <br /><br />The bit last week was very expensive, and very hurty.&nbsp; It still hurts to chew solid food on the left side of my face.&nbsp; I wasn't in pain before I had work done, but am now.&nbsp; What's up with that?&nbsp; What's doing to happen when I have the right side done?&nbsp; Maybe I should invest in a really good food processor, and some straws.<br /><br />I suppose I should be grateful that I had the $800 bucks to plunk down for it, and that it wasn't worse, and that the dentist was really nice, and that it wasn't worse (it could've been worse) but damn.&nbsp; I made pants for Marissa about 5 or 6 years ago using this pattern, and they turned out perfectly.&nbsp; They were my favorite pants for her because of the big flares they had.&nbsp; Is there anything cuter than a kid in bell-bottoms?&nbsp; I think not.<br /><br />I had to buy the pattern again because the one I have is cut for size 5 or 6, so useless for smaller sizes for Phoebe and Charlie.&nbsp; I read through the instructions and they've changed since the last time, and not in a good way.&nbsp; Some of the instructions are moronic -- baste the inner leg seam and then sew it?&nbsp; Um, why, exactly?&nbsp; And the way they explain how to insert the elastic into the back seems more confusing -- I remember how to do it from the last time I made these pants, and the older instructions were much clearer.<br /><br />In any event, they turned out waaaaay too big in the waist, so I had to add ties in order to keep them on Charlie.&nbsp; When we go to the bookstore in Charleston we routinely walk out of there with at least one (if not more) books for each of us.&nbsp; The last time we were there we saw this book called <i>Zen Ties</i> by Jon J Muth -- I wanted to get it then, but we had already gotten a huge stack.<br /><br />Luckily, they had a 2-pack deal for <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Zen-Ties-Jon-J-Muth/dp/0439634253/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&amp;qid=1221852587&amp;sr=1-3">Zen Ties</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Zen-Shorts-Caldecott-Honor-Book/dp/0439339111/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b">Zen Shorts</a> in the book-order list, so of course I picked those up.&nbsp; <i>Zen Shorts</i> (my favorite of the two) is a little long, but the littles love them.&nbsp; Heck, I love them, too.&nbsp; The pictures are beautiful, and the stories are meaningful and sweet.&nbsp; They're the kind of books you don't mind reading over, and over, and over, and over.&nbsp; The kind of books where you actually stop and look at the pictures, and where you read a line and you really think about what it means.&nbsp;
